Revisiting the joy
Happy New Year to you, wherever you may be.
It was a powerful experience to recount the events of 2010 as I put together our annual card. Moments of strength, of weakness, of many tears and laughter. We are extremely grateful for each one.
I do have some resolutions tucked away in my heart for this year, but the most prominent of them is to "lessen". Lessen the clutter, lessen the commitments, lessen the stress, lessen the "hurry up!" that I tend to insert after each pointed directive at the kids. So that in 2011 I can feel, hear, touch, share life in deeper ways.
In joy, for joy, because of joy....

Heather, Look at your beautiful family! Oh my are those cute little girls!
Here's my best to you in un-doing your busy life and finding more joy. It's all about the journey and finding joy on the way.
Hugs,
Joanie
I didn't get a chance to say so, but I love your card (what a great idea) and that we've been able to share so many of 2010's moments with you. What a blessing you guys are to our family. We love you all. Let's continue to help each other "lessen" the load. It's so much more fun that way :)!
So wonderful to see your beautiful family and get a glimpse into the past year of your lives!! What wonderful experiences and changes you've gone through!! I, too, need to "lessen" in a lot of areas this year ... never an easy task, but necessary. So glad to see you again, dear friend! May 2011 be all that you wish for and MORE!
Happy new year to you my friend! I hear you about lessening the hurry up. Hope you and your wonderful family are doing well.
I LOVE IT!

Hi Heather,
Your comment on Katy's blog really resonated with me, come to find out (not to be stalkery) that we have quite a bit in common...I have two daughters, am an educator and am doing my best to live a grateful life.
Congrats on your new addition, you have a beautiful family.
Also, when you get back into the photography, I would love to provide you with some props from my shop, from one umma to another...
Heather! I had lost touch when my old computer went on the fritz. I found you again via Liv's blog and I'm happy to hear that life is so fabulous for you! Congratulations on your 'newest project'. ;)
